How It Works

From the Atlas Mountains to your floor.

We have thousands of rugs in stock, sourced over decades from the weaving communities we know personally. Here's how we find — or create — exactly the right one for you.
01
🔍
Find Your Rug or Pattern
Browse the collection and find a rug or style that speaks to you. If you see something you love — the pattern, the palette, the weave — that's your starting point.
02

We Search the Mountains
We search our warehouse of thousands of rugs — built over 23 years of direct sourcing from Atlas weaving communities. We know the stock intimately.
04
📸
We Send You Pictures
When we find candidates, we photograph them in full and send you everything. You make the decision with complete information, zero pressure.
05
Buy or Commission
Love what we found? It's yours. Need something more precise? We commission your exact rug from one of our artisan families.
Custom commission: allow up to 3 months
💡
About the deposit: A 20% deposit confirms your order and begins the search. It is fully recouperable against any purchase — if we find you something different and better, the deposit moves with you. If we can't find what you need, it's refunded in full.
Twenty-Three Years in the Atlas

Not a retailer.
A network.

I've lived in Marrakech since 2002. Over 23 years I've built direct relationships with weaving communities across the Atlas — and with them, a warehouse of thousands of rugs sourced personally, piece by piece.

When you order, you're not waiting for something to be made — you're choosing from stock we already hold and know well. Every pound goes straight to the weaving community. No agents, no wholesalers.

"James comes to us — not to a market, not to a middleman. He sits with the families and he knows what a rug should feel like."

The Communities Behind the Rugs

Eleven women.
Eleven lifetimes of craft.

Fatima Ait Benhaddou
Azilal Valley
Fatima has been weaving since she was eight years old — taught by her mother, who was taught by hers. Her rugs carry the geometric language of the Ait Benhaddou lineage: bold diamonds, controlled asymmetries, a palette drawn from the ochre cliffs and juniper shadows of the valley.
Khadija Oussaid
Imilchil Region
Khadija weaves what the mountains look like in winter — white fields, grey ridgelines, occasional flashes of indigo. Her Beni Ourain work is some of the most restrained and sophisticated we carry. She commissions on request and keeps a waiting list for her one-of-a-kind pieces.
Zhor Azemmouri
Midelt Region
Zhor runs a cooperative of twelve women in the Midelt valley. She controls quality at every stage — from raw fleece washing to the final pile trimming. Her rugs are the most consistent we carry, and her cooperative model means every weaver is paid fairly and immediately.
